By accessing or using Lumina ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Lumina is a spaced-repetition recall application that helps you retain knowledge from books, articles, podcasts, and other sources. The App allows you to capture ideas, organize them by source, and review them at scientifically optimized intervals to strengthen long-term memory.
To use the App, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You retain ownership of all ideas, notes, and other content you create within the App ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service. We will not sell, share, or use your User Content for any purpose other than operating the App.
You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its systems; (c) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App; (d) upload content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on the rights of others; or (e) use automated means to access the App without our prior written consent.
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by Lumina and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.
We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.
You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your User Content may be permanently deleted after a reasonable retention period.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
